Donna Grantis - Gitarristin

Gitarristin Donna Grantis ist eine Kanadierin mit makedonischer Abstammung. Sie spielte für den letzter Woche verstorbenen Prince in seiner "All Girl" Live Band, unter anderem trat sie auch für die Bands 3rdEyeGirl und The New Power Generation auf.  Beide Großeltern väterlich-seits stammen aus der Kostur Region und mütterlich-seits aus der Kostur und Lerin Region in Ägäis Makedonien, heutiges Nordgriechenland. Donna ist in Kanada geboren und aufgewachsen, in ihrer Karriere gab sie auch Konzerte in Skopje so z.B. auf dem 15. Blues und Soul Festival. Facebook Homepage

Pero Antic All Star!








More history for Antic, picked for NBA All Star Weekend

Macedonian rookie Pero Antic, despite being out for 2-4 weeks with a stress fracture, has been named to the pool of players for the Rising Star Challenge at the 2014 NBA All-Star Weekend.

Antic was having a wonderful rookie season before he went down last week, so it's great to see his efforts appreciated and to have a Hawk in the All-Star celebrations. The tremendous efforts from his fellow Macedonians who were seen at practically every NBA city probably helped, too. Congrats, Pero!

Pero on making the squad:
"I would like to thank my teammates, the coaching staff and Hawks organization," Antic said. "I am proud to represent the city of Atlanta and my home country of Macedonia in New Orleans!"
