Donna Grantis - Gitarristin

Gitarristin Donna Grantis ist eine Kanadierin mit makedonischer Abstammung. Sie spielte für den letzter Woche verstorbenen Prince in seiner "All Girl" Live Band, unter anderem trat sie auch für die Bands 3rdEyeGirl und The New Power Generation auf.  Beide Großeltern väterlich-seits stammen aus der Kostur Region und mütterlich-seits aus der Kostur und Lerin Region in Ägäis Makedonien, heutiges Nordgriechenland. Donna ist in Kanada geboren und aufgewachsen, in ihrer Karriere gab sie auch Konzerte in Skopje so z.B. auf dem 15. Blues und Soul Festival. Facebook Homepage

Ivo Laurencic, pioneer of Macedonian and regional advertising, dies



Ivo Laurencic, one of the pioneers of advertising not only in Macedonia, but also in the region and beyond, passed away Monday after a long, serious illness.

He was CEO and creative director of the advertising agency 'Idea Plus'.

In the course of his career, Laurencic put his signature on over 700 communication and video projects. Most of his works serve today as an example of achievements of excellence.

Born in Sibenik, Laurencic was a graduate of Belgrade Film Academy. He served as a Director of Belgrade RTV Second Programme, took part in numerous projects, making a career of a free-lance film artist. He made documentaries, was an assistant director of some of the best movies filmed in former Yugoslavia.

He moved in Macedonia 20 years ago and founded the marketing agency 'Idea Plus'. In no time the agency became a marketing school in Macedonia.

Laurencic was the mastermind of the mini-series 'Speak Macedonian' for the Macedonian Television. It also refers to the campaign 'I Preserve What Is Mine - While I Write Using Cyrillic Alphabet - I Exist!, which won the first prize at the PR Contest of prestigious Communication Festival FESTO in Opatija, Croatia.
