Donna Grantis - Gitarristin

Gitarristin Donna Grantis ist eine Kanadierin mit makedonischer Abstammung. Sie spielte für den letzter Woche verstorbenen Prince in seiner "All Girl" Live Band, unter anderem trat sie auch für die Bands 3rdEyeGirl und The New Power Generation auf.  Beide Großeltern väterlich-seits stammen aus der Kostur Region und mütterlich-seits aus der Kostur und Lerin Region in Ägäis Makedonien, heutiges Nordgriechenland. Donna ist in Kanada geboren und aufgewachsen, in ihrer Karriere gab sie auch Konzerte in Skopje so z.B. auf dem 15. Blues und Soul Festival. Facebook Homepage

Jahovic on playing for Macedonia: My dream finally came true


"I lived for the day when I will put on a Macedonian jersey. My dream, finally came true. I play for my country. Whether I am Muslim or Christian, I love the country I was born in and grew up in. Nobody can take that away from me. Love you Macedonia!" says Adis Jahovic on his Facebook post.

Adis Jahovic was born in Macedonia to Bosnian parents, and has quickly become a fan favorite after playing only his second international game.  Though against Denmark he missed quite an easy opportunity to score, the fans quickly forgave him because he spares no effort in his duels with opposition players. Jahovic is also relentless in putting pressure up front, not allowing opposition midfielders to develop any sort of plays which showed crucial against Denmark.
